Be with Me: A Novel (Wait for You)

Be with Me: A Novel (Wait for You) - J. Lynn 4.5 Stars

J. Lynn has done it again by pushing readers to their limits with this emotion packed story! I loved Cameron and Avery from Wait For You, and I can honestly say that I loved Jace and Tess in Be With Me just as much. This author has delivered two powerful stories with this series and I can't wait to see what else she has in store for us!

Teresa Hamilton has had a thing for her older brother's best friend, Jace Winstead, since she was a teenager. But it wasn't until he stole a scorching kiss from her a year ago that she even considered him returning her attraction. Too bad he has avoided her ever since! But when Tess's dancing dreams are put on hold due to a heart-breaking injury and she enrolls in the same college as Jace and her brother, it's not long before they're forced into each others company and Tess forces Jace to see more then just his best friends little sister when he looks at her.

Jace knows that he shouldn't feel anything but friendship for Cam's little sister, but can't seem to get her out of his head. Especially after the searing kiss they shared. He should regret it, but he doesn't. Luckily, he knows that she's too good for him and they could never have a future together. Especially if she were to ever find out his secret. When one circumstance after another keeps putting them in each others paths, Jace can't deny his feelings any longer. But when catastrophes happen, truths are revealed and responsibilities loom ahead, can Tess show Jace that she can handle anything he throws her way, and stick by him through it all?

J. Lynn has an incredible writing style that draws you right into the story and you never want to leave it. Though Be With Me had a common NA/Romance trope, it felt like I was reading about a best friend's sibling romance for the first time. The characters in the story aren't perfect, but they are perfectly flawed, and very relateable. The author has mastered the skill of character development and that, along with a witty dialogue and swoon worthy romance, pushed the plot forward at an ideal pace. The story line was fluid, ebbing and flowing seamlessly between the struggles of both Jace and Tess, while twining together as their relationship grew. And the relationship between Jace and Tess felt real and genuine with lots of sexual tension and sweet romance sprinkled liberally throughout. It was really a joy to read their journey. Being a NA novel, there was the expected drama and angst as well, but it didn't overshadow the actual plot which I appreciated. I would recommend the Wait for You series to romance lovers everywhere, you will not be disappointed. And I for one, cannot wait for the next book!
